Antique Stoneware Crocks

SONY DSCWe currently have a number of beautiful stoneware crocks.

Thess featured crocks are rare MIDLAND ONTARIO crock we currently have on display in the store.

We also have a Hart Brothers & Lazier crock and butter churn. These particular ones were made in the Belleville & Picton area here in Ontario between 1879-1887.

A Jardinière circa 1865 made by Lazier is in the collection at the Canadian Museum of Civilization (Cat. no. D2237, Slide no. 18006)

We also have a nice old H.Schuler crock from Paris Ontario (Photo to the right) and this would be circa 1870’s as well. A hamilton crock jug, a cornwall flak & arsdale, a number of brantford jugs and crocks (some with really nice flowers and stuff) and many more!!

IMG_3738Some of the most popular stoneware with collectors have big blue designs of flowers, insects, people and all sorts of unusual images.

Stoneware signed by the maker or decorated with fancy designs are almost always more valuable than plain pieces.

We also have some plain crocks & jugs starting from 15.00 and up in price (make great planters & decoration or a place to make your own pickles!)
